We are currently looking for an experienced, professional, detail oriented Assistant Superintendent to work in our Harrisburg, PA office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Poole Anderson Construction’s general trade’s self-performance activities and
    manpower as well as track efficiencies and adjust accordingly with the Project Manager.
  • Manage Subcontractors working on assigned projects to ensure work is being completed
    efficiently and in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource
    allocation.
  • Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine
    budget and timeline.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
  • Work with the Corporate Scheduler and Project Manger to create schedules for workers and
    subcontractors.
  • Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary.
  • Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
  • Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent related field experience is required.
  • 3 – 5 years minimum experience on projects valuing from $500,000 to $25,000,000 in an
    Assistant Superintendent role is required.
  • Must be able to manage Poole Anderson Construction’s general trade’s self-performance
    activities and manpower as well as track efficiencies and adjust accordingly with the Project
    Manager.
  • Must possess the OSHA 30-hour Certification and be knowledgeable with OSHA standards
    and compliance.
  • Experience with Procore or equivalent construction management software, and Microsoft
    Excel and Word preferable.
  • Must be construction-document and drawing literate with knowledge of all phases of
    construction.
  • Must have experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling,
    and cost control. Strong technical and communication skills are critical.
  • Must have a valid PA Driver’s License.
  • Must be willing to travel and work throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland and Southern New
    Jersey.
