PSU Mont Alto Campus - Food Services Building

This project involved an addition and renovation of the main dining hall on campus including site work, new utilities and ADA ramps. The addition was within 6 feet of a major intersection through campus and Poole Anderson Construction was responsible to minimize closure and coordinate vehicular and pedestrian access throughout the construction period.
A basement was constructed below the dining hall addition to house the new heating and electrical equipment. Poole Anderson Construction was required to coordinate utility work and allow use of the kitchen for outside catered events during the renovation.
New ceilings were added and others were changed in the middle of the project presenting a challenge to allow occupancy when classes resumed in August, but with the cooperation of Penn State University staff, the Inspection Department and the Architect, the dining hall was ready for student use on time.
