PSU Capital Campus - New Freshman Housing

Poole Anderson Construction is serving as the Construction Manager for a new freshman housing complex at the Penn State Harrisburg Campus.
This 30,000 square foot, four-story project will allow for an increase in the number of students housed on the growing campus. Upon completion of construction, the 100-bed residence hall will also strive to obtain LEED Certification for energy efficiency.
The complex, which will house first-year students, has been designed to follow a new trend in on-campus student living. The second, third, and fourth floors will contain 16 units arranged in an apartment-style layout with four students sharing two bedrooms and one bathroom. Each floor will also include study rooms and lounge spaces at its center.
The entryway of the building will include a reception desk while the rest of the first-floor will consist of a housing office, two-bedroom staff apartment, laundry, and storage.
